Call Assistant
Control how different callers are handled. Saved Contacts and Unknown Numbers can have different default behavior.
KAAL Shield by OpenKAAL
You decide who is allowed to interrupt you,
when, and how.
Built around deliberate call control, local-first decisions where possible, and privacy-aware design.
Current capabilities
KAAL Shield is designed around explicit rules, clear actions, and caller handling that you control.
Control how different callers are handled. Saved Contacts and Unknown Numbers can have different default behavior.
Give individual phone numbers their own rule instead of treating every caller the same.
For selected calls, KAAL Shield can use its supported call-control flow so the call is connected without intentional audio being played to the caller. Device and Android behavior can vary.
Private Call keeps that completed call out of KAAL/local call-history presentation where supported. It does not provide anonymous calling, carrier invisibility, or network anonymity.
Private lightweight communication between connected KAAL Shield users. Voice-to-text is supported. KAAL Alert network features are under development.
Designed with meaningful Android controls, readable states, and TalkBack-friendly interaction in mind.
Privacy principles
OpenKAAL Network
KAAL Shield is being designed to support secure device-to-device KAAL Alerts and future community-powered protection against unwanted calls.
The community threat database is not presented as an existing production service. The server foundation is being built so private KAAL Alert communication and future threat intelligence remain separate systems.
